“Shroom Clouds” by A$AP Rocky is a new single expected to be released on an upcoming deluxe edition of the album Don’t Be Dumb. As reported by Stereogum, Rocky’s video is being accused by fans for using AI to utilize content from another creator.

Fans are drawing attention to the imagery displayed at 2 minutes 25 seconds, as it looks similar to a visual from a 2019 video series directed by Ari Fararooy and Cache Bunny. Rocky is being accused of using a visual of a psychedelic tunnel from the video series. Due to the similarities, Cache Bunny spoke on the use of the content as well. “They took our video without permission (or even asking), then fed it into AI and changed Jason to ASAP Rocky…They left our original grass and shadow intact, so this is indisputably stolen ?.” The list of people in the Youtube credits is telling of AI use in some capacity throughout a good portion of the video. Stereogum also tells us that Rocky’s fans “disliked AI effects before Rocky was accused of theft”.

Rocky also recently released a music video for his song “SWAT TEAM”, which is also featured on Don’t Be Dumb.
