Ben Folds Five Announce Spring 2027 U.S. Tour Dates Marking First In 15 Years

Ben Folds Five have announced their U.S. tour for 2027, marking the iconic alt-rock trio’s first tour in 15 years. Highlights include headline shows and top-billed festival appearances beginning April 12 at Knoxville’s Tennessee Theatre and continuing across the country throughout 2027. As of now nine dates have been scheduled throughout April, with the last concert taking place on April 24 in Birmingham, Alabama at the Avondale Brewing Company. However, the band has shared that more dates will be announced in the future. Tickets for the announced dates go on sale Friday, October 23 at 10 AM local time. Ben Folds Five was formed in 1993 in the alternative rock breeding ground of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Led by piano-pounding maestro Ben Folds, with Robert Sledge on bass and Darren Jessee on drums, the trio dubbed their distinctive sound “punk rock for sissies” – a smart-alecky collision of spaz rock, power pop, irresistible 70s AM melodies, pseudo-jazz, and copious lyrical mischief that proved you didn’t need aggro guitars to make a glorious ‘90s noise.
