Rock band Kings of Leon have shared another offering from their upcoming tenth studio album O My Beloved, today sharing the single “KOYSAR.” This comes as the album’s second single shared ahead of it’s upcoming release early next month. A video was also shared for “KOYSAR,” which can be found on the band’s YouTube channel.

“KOYSAR,” an abbreviation for “Kick Off Your Shoes and Run” offers a more calming and laid back track, continuing the band’s recent trend. The track draws on the band’s childhood memories and the perspective they’ve gained as they raise families of their own – something that can be seen in the video showing the band members spending the day at a fair with their family, matching the song’s joyful and warm feeling.

“I was walking around the house and I kept singing ‘kick off your shoes and run,’” said lead singer Caleb Followill, “and it started to take me back to when we were kids and we didn’t have a care in the world. I feel like these days all you hear about is how bad things are and how scared we should be for tomorrow, and I don’t know about that. I believe if we hold close the things and the people that matter most, everything is going to be alright.”

“KOYSAR” offers a taste of the unguarded and intimate nature that O My Beloved promises to offer. The track is the seventh on the album’s total tracklist of 13 songs, and the full album will be available November 6th.

Steven Taylor: Hello, I'm Steven! I'm a graduate of Seton Hall University. I majored in journalism, with a minor in Public Relations. I've always had a passion for the arts and creative fields. Writing especially is an area I've always found myself gravitating towards, between assignments in class, working for the school newspaper or just writing in my spare time. I love providing and hearing new perspectives. In addition to my studies and work in writing, I work part-time at after-school and summer programs for my local elementary school. I've been a part of these programs since I was in high school, and I've even been assigned to work one-to-one with children with special needs. I like to think that if I'm able to communicate well with children in the 2nd grade, then I can communicate well with most adults too!
