Head Trip 2026 Ends Night One Early Due to Severe Weather

Lightning forced Head Trip 2026 to end its opening night early on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Coachella grounds in Indio, California. At 9 p.m. PT, an announcement interrupted Under Construction’s set, suspending the performance and instructing attendees to leave the venue or seek shelter in their vehicles or shuttles.

The announcement stated, “This is a lightning alert. The show is suspended due to lightning. Exit the venue the way you entered or seek shelter in personal vehicles or shuttle.”

The weather brought rain and lightning to the Coachella Valley region, forcing organizers to suspend the festival’s opening-night performances. Despite Saturday’s early cancellation, Head Trip was scheduled to return Sunday, Oct. 11, with performances planned throughout the afternoon and evening. According to Billboard, the second day was scheduled to begin in the early afternoon and continue into the night.
