Fontaines D.C. are going back on the road in 2027. Following two sold-out headline shows in New York and Los Angeles last month, the Irish five-piece have announced an extensive North American tour in support of their upcoming fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber. The tour will be split into two separate legs, with the first beginning in Boston on April 23 and continuing through the West Coast in May. The band will then return to North America in September for a second run of shows that will take them through some of the continent’s biggest and most iconic venues.
The spring leg kicks off at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston before heading to Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. Fontaines D.C. will then cross into Canada for a Vancouver show before continuing through Seattle, Sacramento and San Francisco. The fall leg begins September 24 in Columbus, Ohio, and includes major stops in Toronto, Queens, Washington, Nashville, Asheville, Atlanta and Colorado. The band will play the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 13 before bringing the tour to a close two days later at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Westside Cowboy will support Fontaines D.C. throughout the spring dates, while Danish post-punk veterans Iceage will join the band for the fall run.
Since forming, Fontaines D.C. have continually pushed their sound into new territory. Their 2019 debut Dogrel established the band as one of the most exciting groups in the post-punk revival, while A Hero’s Death, Skinty Fia and Romance each expanded their musical palette in different directions. Now, with Dopamine Chamber on the horizon, the band is preparing to bring that latest evolution to stages across North America.
Tickets for the 2027 tour will be available through a fan presale beginning October 6 at 10 a.m. local time. General ticket sales begin October 9 at 10 a.m. local time.
