Maryann Cotton, Alice Cooper and Dick Wagner are releasing a new album, Chester Rose, on Oct. 30, 2026. The theatrical release was created with production suited for both an album and television.
The project was intended to feature a younger voice with the charisma and character to complement Alice Cooper’s theatrical presence. That younger artist ended up being Maryann Cotton. Cotton traveled from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Los Angeles to work on the album. Wagner discovered Cotton before introducing him to Cooper.
The album was written by Cotton, Wagner and Cooper. The collaborative concept album contains 12 tracks and tells the story of a rock star turned serial killer with lustful and obsessive tendencies. The album tells its story through an energetic hard rock sound that takes listeners on a journey into a twisted and dark world.

The first single from Chester Rose, “Thief of Hearts,” was released on Sept. 18 and is available now on all streaming platforms. “Thief of Hearts” was the first song Wagner played for Cotton.
Wagner passed away before he had the chance to enter the studio. Cotton wanted to stay true to Wagner’s vision for the album, which contains the last performances of Wagner and Steve Hunter together.
Cotton carefully restored Wagner’s guitar riffs through old Pro Tools projects, editing and mixing them to stay true to Wagner’s original playing.
