Marissa Nadler has teamed up with Seattle musician and frequent collaborator Milky Burgess once again, with the duo this time producing a cover. The pair shared a cover of the 1960 track “Forever,” written by Buddy Killen and performed by the Little Dippers. As Stereogum reports, the track can be found on Nadler’s Bandcamp.

“I’ve loved this song for so so so many years…,” Nadler writes on the song’s Bandscamp page. “So has Milky. We’d made the skeleton for this track long ago but decided to unearth it and revamp it. Thank you for listening.” Nadler and Burgess had previously collaborated on an EP titled The Bloody Gardener, with Burgess later joining Nadler for tracks on her 10th studio album New Radiations. The cover comes just days ahead of the first anniversary of New Radiations’ August 15th 2025 release date.

The cover has a dreamy, spacey feeling to it that feels equal parts new and young, with vocals that come like whispers in a dream. “This song was popularized by Pete Drake,” Nadler’s Bandcamp description reads, “and his version is the version that I fell in love with. The song was written by Buddy Killen and was released by The Little Dippers and Billy Walker in January 1960.” This latest cover comes as a unique and refreshing take on the classic track.
