Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats Unveil New Video “House By The Grave”

Psychedelic rock and doom metal group Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats dropped a new single today, “House By The Grave.” The new track comes off the band’s upcoming seventh studio album, Shapes of Midnight set for a release next month. A video was also released for the track, which can be found on the group’s YouTube channel.

The song kicks off with explosive, hazy electric guitar and muffled vocals set over an analogue and old-school video that splices footage of the band performing and strange, abstract and sometimes macabre footage. Founder and lead vocalist Kevin Starrs spoke on the track in a  press release, sharing, “This is one of my favourite songs that we’ve ever done and the perfect way to open up the album. ‘Yonder stands the sinner!’ really sums it all up.” The track blends its dark and harsh metal sound with a smooth catchy riffs and drumming. The hazy video coated in different effects and distortions bring the entire atmosphere of psychedelia and occultism together in a complete package.

“House By The Grave” is the opening track to the band’s upcoming seventh studio release, Shapes of Midnight. This single release follows the release of the album’s title track last month, and comes just ahead of the full release of Shape of Midnight coming next month on September 18th.
