Along with “Runway,” Lady Gaga debuted two more original songs to The Devil Wears Prada 2’s soundtrack includes original tracks “Shape of Woman” and “Glamorous Life.” On top of her cameo in the film, “Shape of a Woman” is a thumping, upbeat bouncing dance-pop that feels a bit like Mayhem that opens the soundtrack, while “Glamorous Life” which is not a Sheila E. cover, is a reflective anthem about being captivated by the glitter of fame. Gaga recorded both songs with her regular collaborators Cirkut and Andrew Watt. Gesaffelstein also worked on “Shape Of A Woman,” while Gaga’s fiancé and creative partner Michael Polansky co-wrote “Glamorous Life.
Already shared a music video for “Runway,” marking the first collaboration between Gaga and Doechii, both have expressed admiration for the other. Doechii has cited Lady Gaga as massive influence and a “legend,” saying she is the “biggest Lady Gaga fan.” And last July, Lady Gaga spoke just as highly of Doechii to British Vogue, saying the rapper came “out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary.”
The all-female soundtrack for Prada 2 also features songs from Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism (“End of an Era”), Miley Cyrus’ Something Beautiful (the Brittany Howard duet “Walk of Fame”), and Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving(“Nice to Each Other”). Check them out below.
