According to BrooklynVegan.com, Thursday began their Full City Devolución Tour on April 1, which celebrates the anniversaries of three of their albums: 25 years of Full Collapse, 20 years of A City By the Light Divided and 15 years of No Devolución. Night One was at Philly’s Union Transfer and Geoff Rickly began Thursday’s set in the balcony, giving the first public performance of No Devolución track “Empty Glass” (the band had previously performed it for a 2021 livestream set).
He then joined the band onstage and they played some more less frequently performed No Devolución tracks, including “No Answers” (first time since 2019), “Magnets Caught in a Metal Heart” (first time since 2017), and “A Gun in the First Act,” which also got its first public performance. The first part of the show also got some A City by the Light Divided songs, including “Sugar in the Sacrament” (first time since 2019), “At This Velocity,” and “Into the Blinding Light.” For the show’s second part, they ran through a bunch of Full Collapse, ending the night with “Understanding in a Car Crash.”
