Silverstien is bringing the noise to Brooklyn Paramount

Shane Told of Silverstein.

Celebrate 25 years of Noise with Silverstein at the Brooklyn Paramount. The tour will be a celebration of the band’s 25-year anniversary, touring North America. This Ontario punk group formed in 2000 but became the band you know and love later. The band found a new bassist in 2003 with former fan Billy Hamilton and a new lead guitarist in Neil Boshart, helping them find their sound. It was their second studio album, first with the new bandmates, Discovering the Waterfront, that put them on the map. Released in August of 2005, the album details the downfall of a toxic relationship—the high of new love and the obsession. It is the epitome of the 2000s post-hardcore scene. Using water as a metaphor for the all-consuming nature of the relationship, it earned the group a Juno Award nomination in 2006 for New Group of the Year.

Join Silverstein in celebrating their 25-year anniversary, remember old favorites, and listen to new work from their double album Pink Moon. The concert begins at 5:30 on December 20th at the Brooklyn Paramount.
