English duo Squeezed released the second track for their highly anticipated 2026 album Trixies. “Trixies (Part Two)”. The second installment following “Trixies (Part One)” round out the end of the tracklist on the upcoming 13 song release.
“Trixies (Part Two)” falls in and just under four minutes full of jazzy rock with a big band feel and complementing harmonies that walk right over the melody. The music is rounded out with classic piano, a brass section, and some woodwind solos throughout the song that bring in the jazz and old time feel of the song.
Since their debut album U.K. Squeeze back in 1978, Squeeze have released 14 more studio albums across five decades. However, what makes Trixies so unique is that it is said to be the first album Squeeze has ever written. The album is meant to be a collection of stories of various scenes throughout a night club. It was written by Squeeze members Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford who were both in their teens while writing this piece.
As the band approaches their 50th anniversary, the release of a nearly 50 year old album just seemed fitting. Trixies is set to release on March 6th of 2026 and will also mark Squeeze’s first project of the decade, and their first in nearly 10 years, since their 2017 studio album The Knowledge. Though there has not been any official word of a tour, with the band at the 50 year mark, and the fact that they have played over 600 shows since they reunited back in 2007, it does beg the question if they will hit the road this summer.
