After the release of his new track “Thrill Of The Night”, featuring Slayyyter and Nile Rodger, just a few short weeks later Sebastien Tellier returns with a music video for the song. “Thrill Of The Night” is supposed to remind the listener of the 80s and 90s club scenes and does its best to pay tribute to that time.
The music video takes place in “Club Slayyyter Haus”, named after Slayyter who carries most of the vocals through the track. The video opens with a shot of the exterior of the club along with the sign. Later a woman enters the club and can be seen at the end of a dark hallway. The title card for the video appears briefly before the focus goes back onto the woman who enters the club. She looks behind herself for a moment then turns and the screen is immediately filled with color, and different scenes of Slayyyter dancing.
On the walls of the hallway Slayyyter appears on nearly every poster in the hallway as she performs the rest of the track. From the hallway, the woman makes her way to the club where there’s a grand stage, plenty of neon lights and a dance floor. The rest of the video shows a variety of shots of people dancing with glowing outlines around all of them. Overall, the video is big, grand, and filled with plenty of bright colors, similar to that of the old days that Tellier looked to bring back to life.
