The second-annual Holiday Hootennay, presented by Resound, Pooneh Ghana, KUTX, returns to Austin’s Radio/East for a day of musical performances, local vendors, and seasonal activities in  a festive, community-oriented celebration. This Saturday December 13, 2025, the event will be kicking off the holiday fun at 2:00 p.m., and for those bold enough to stay for midnight karaoke, doors will remain open until 2:00 a.m.

This year’s event features a revised schedule following an adjustment to the originally announced lineup. The group Fuck Money withdrew from the program, opening the opportunity for Almost Heaven to join the roster. Organizers noted that this change allows attendees/ fans an additional chance to experience Almost Heaven before the end of the year. The Final lineup includes well-established touring acts alongside local performers, maintaining the event’s emphasis on musical diversity.

A distinguishing feature of the Holiday Hootenanny is its no-overlap performance schedule. This approach ensures that attendees can view every artist without conflicts between stages or set times. Headliners Shannon & The Calms and tUnE-yArDs close the main programing, followed by a midnight karaoke session hosted by J’Cuuzi. Additional performers include Rubblebucket, Improvement Movement, Club Coma , Variety, and special guest Rushadicus, known as “The Cello Goblin.” Event organizers emphasize that the unified schedule strengthens audience engagement and provides equitable visibility for all participating artists. Beyond its musical offerings, the Holiday Hootenanny includes an expansive range of seasonal activities designed to highlight Austin’s creative community. More than 23 local vendors are featured in a curated holiday market, offering handmade goods, artwork, and specialty items. Other activities include ornament decorating stations, a live screen printing pop-up hosted by Raw Paw, themed food and beverage options, and the return of  the mechanical “reindeer,” a popular attraction from the previous year. These elements contribute to the event’s goal of providing a comprehensive cultural experience beyond traditional concert programming.

Ticketing demand for this year’s event has been high, resulting in the sellout of Tier 1 and Tier 2 general admission passes; however, Tier 3 tickets remain available. Limited VIP tickets are also still available, offering premium viewing areas, two complimentary drink tickets, Holiday Hootenanny swag, and “more holiday surprises <3.”

On-site parking passes are also available for advance purchase. Organizers remind attendees that the event is open to all ages and that all ticket sales are final, consistent with industry standards for large-scale live events.

The Holiday Hootenanny continues to strengthen its presence within Austin’s music and arts landscape. By combining a no-overlap concert schedule, a robust vendor market, interactive holiday activities, and collaborations with local creatives, the event reinforces the city’s reputation for fostering community-driven cultural experiences.
