Indie-pop singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson is coming home to New York City for her yearly Holiday Hop. Michaelson made a name for herself with her 2007 hit “Keep Breathing,” which was featured on Grey’s Anatomy. Her 2006 single “The Way I Am” shot her into the mainstream lexicon after it was featured in an Old Navy commercial. Her music set the scene for nail-biting medical procedures, high school rivalries, and forensic mysteries, making her a permanent fixture on our screens. Her 2024 studio album For the Dreamers reached No. 15 on Billboard’s Traditional Jazz Albums chart. With features by Jason Mraz and Juan Ariza, the album is the artist’s love letter to other dreamers.
The Holiday Hop is a tradition Michaelson started in 2007. The fan event showcases new arrangements of classic holiday favorites as well as Michaelson’s own work from her album Songs for the Season.
