Two weeks ago, on an unassuming Wednesday, pop superstar Meghan Trainor announced her new single along with The Get in Girl Tour. Her new album, “Toy With Me,” will be released in April 2026. Throughout the summer, Trainor will traverse across the US with over thirty shows announced.
Toy With Me will be Meghan Trainor’s seventh studio album, two years after her last album, “Timeless,” released in 2024. With a six month rollout, Trainor can slowly build up anticipation for the album. However, some fans online complain about the long wait time.
Meghan Trainor continues building on the legacy of upbeat bubblegum-pop songs. Her biggest hit, “All About That Bass,” has held onto a strong supremacy in music charts in the mid 2010s, even becoming certified diamond in 2018.
Known for her energetic pop songs that have that signature doo-wop style, Trainor creates that same sound with her new single, “Still Don’t Care.” Singing lyrics like, “Said I was too thick, then I got way too thin / And I try to stand out, but I wanna fit in.” As a response to those in the media that have been judging her body, Trainor’s response is cheeky yet aptly fitting.
With over a decade in the music industry, Trainor has firmly cemented herself in the pop music genre. The pop duo ICONA POP and Ryan Trainor will be special guests accompanying Trainor on tour. Tickets can be purchased here.
