Queens of the Stone Age are returning to Chicago with a headline performance at the Chicago Theatre on Thursday, October 2, 2025. It’s the kickoff date of their Catacombs Tour, a limited-run series of historic theater shows across North America. Special guest Paris Jackson, daughter of Pop king Micheal Jackson, will open the night.
The Catacombs Tour is built around Alive in the Catacombs, their recent live album and concert film released in June 2025, recorded deep inside the catacombs of Paris. The recoding includes reimagined arrangements, assembled ensembles, and a darker, more intimate take on their catalog.
This tour comes after a difficult period for frontman Josh Homme. in 2024 the band canceled many of their scheduled shows while he underwent medical treatment. Now, the band will make their triumphant return with the tour spanning iconic venues.
Queens of the Stone Age have been a defining force in rock since their 1998 debut. Known for their innovative blend of stoner rock, hard rock, and alternative, the band has earned critical acclaim and commercial success with albums like Songs for the Deaf (2002), which included the Grammy-winning single “Go With the Flow,” and …Like Clockwork(2013), their first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Over the years, the band has become renowned for their high-energy live shows and rotating lineup of celebrated musicians, including Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, and Dave Grohl on drums.
