On Saturday night, September 11th, MJ Lenderman took over the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles with a set that felt both loose and electric. Backed by his band, he leaned into twangy guitar runs and unvarnished lyrics, drawing the crowd in closer with each song. Fans sang along, swayed and shouted back lines as the room’s warm lights and cavernous sound wrapped around the music.
