British punk icons The Damned will be making their return to Chicago this fall for the first time since last year. The legendary band will be performing at the Vic Theatre on September 17th as part of a special Riot Fest aftershow with support from The Avengers.
The show comes in celebration of The Damned’s long career and the release of their latest live album AD 22 – Live in Manchester. Formed in London in 1976, The Damned became notable for their punchy debut single (“New Rose”) and full-length album (Damned Damned Damned). Over the decades, they’ve evolved their sound while maintaining their place as one of punk’s most influential acts, with fan-favorite albums like Machine Gun Etiquette, The Black Album, and Phantasmagoria.
The Damned’s upcoming Vic Theatre performance marks their return to the U.S. following a recent cancelation of shows in Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver caused by an “unexpected and catastrophic event” at a band member’s home. This setback, from which all members have thankfully recovered, has not affected any other dates.
Don’t miss your chance to see punk legends The Damned, joined by The Avengers, tear up the Vic Theatre on Tuesday, September 17th. Tickets are available now at AXS.com.
