The second day of Lollapalooza was one for the books. The headliners of the night were Korn and Olivia Rodrigo. The festival was ready for Korn’s 28th year or Olivia’s first Lolla performance, and as a headliner no less. Grant Park filled up with two types of people as soon as the doors opened. Some are wearing Korn and most are wearing Olivia Rodrigo apparel. There was an overwhelming amount of “vampire” shirts, Doc Martens and sequinned skirts—all signature items of Olivia’s persona that she has made for herself. Although Olivia is still relatively new to the music industry, this performance showed who she is as an artist and that she will be here for years to come. Lately, she has been bringing out many surprise guests on her festival runs. She brought out none other than Weezer and sang “Buddy Holly” and “Say It Ain’t So.”
