On July 3, 2025, the singer Lisa Bregneager had posted on her Instagram, revealing news regarding her music. On Instagram, she had shared that she will no longer be streaming her songs via Spotify. She mentioned that the reason she would not be allowing her music to be on the streaming service was because of AI. Bregneager had announced that she does not want to invest in an AI battle and have a future full of it. As of now, her music is still available on Spotify.
In her statement, she wrote: “I’m taking my music off Spotify. I don’t believe that investing in AI battle tech is the future. Disarm Daniel Ek and the oligarchy! Everything is connected. Let’s work for and believe in a more just, loving world.” On her post, she also had an edited caption. “Work in progress, requested a full takedown of my catalog from Spotify. Also ended my subscription. I hope this can inspire other people to do the same xx,” said Bregneager via her Instagram caption.
Bregneager had put in a request to completely remove her discography from the streaming service. Although her music is still on there, she is working towards completely removing it.
