Fallen From Grace brings mid-dazzling vibes on At The Edge.
Death metal band Falling From Grace has been creating havoc since 2013, and they released their first album, Shadows of The Past, back in 2014. From there, Falling From Grace released five additional projects, comprising full albums and EPs. The band has released their newest album, At The Edge, and what is fabulous about the whole thing is how much the band has grown through the instrumentation and vocal performance.
The title track brings an in-your-face attitude, thanks to the guitar and drum playing that sizzles the air with blazing, energetic riffs and beats, blending elements of hard rock. The vocalist’s commanding voice contributes to the insanity by yelling out the lyrics in pure passion. This track alone just proves how much the band has musically matured.
Another hardcore ditty is “Downfall,” and what is amazing about the whole composition is how the instrumentation brings a heavier metal vibe that is filled with endless melodies that resemble the older musical style of Metallica and Iron Maiden. If people want to hear blistering old-school metal music, “Downfall” will satisfy their needs.
Another heart-jolting ditty is “Crawling Back To The Dark,” and what is magical about the whole thing is how the feeling of despair and hopelessness can be felt through the maddening instrumentation and vocal performance. Also, the sense of instant threat can be felt through the vocalist’s dominant vocal tones. “Crawling Back To The Dark” not only welcomes listeners to the band’s dark and twisted world, but it also serves as a reminder that our darkest hours can consume our souls if we are not careful.
“Revolt Unleashed” is a composition that sounds deeper and angrier thanks to the instrumentation shaking things up with vein-jolting and head-banging noise that bleeds thrash metal, while the vocalist continues to powerfully and loudly grumbles and yells out the deep lyrics. “Revolt Unleashed” is an example of how hardcore Fallen From Grace is with their music.
At The Edge is by far the strongest album from the band because the whole project is filled with bolder music that shows how much Fallen From Grace has matured in the metal music scene. Surely, all the tracks will sound just as amazing live as well.
