The Pogues are celebrating their 40th Anniversary September 16th & 17th at Terminal 5

The Pogues, an english celtic punk band formed in London is coming to New York. The group has announced a North American tour in support of the 40th anniversary of their classic album, Rum, Sodomy & The Lash. 

According to Brooklyn Vegan, the lineup ‘will include original members Jem Finer, Spider Stacy, and James Fearnley, plus Lankum‘s Darragh Lynch (guitar), Iona Zajac (vocals/harp), singers Lisa O’Neill and Nadine Shah, The Pretenders‘ James Walbourne (guitar), John Francis Flynn (vocals / multiple instruments), Jordan O’Leary (banjo), Alfi’s Fiachra Meek (pipes/whistles), The Bad Seeds‘ Jim Sclavunos (drums), and Holly Mullineaux (bass). There’s also a brass section featuring Pete Fraser, Daniel Hayes, and Ian Williamson.’

The seven-date tour will begin in DC at Lincoln Center on September 5th. From there, the band will travel to Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, and finish off in New York. 

The New York City shows of the tour will conclude on September 16th and 17th at Terminal 5. Tickets to the Tuesday and Wednesday night shows are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $99 USD. for a standard ticket.
