The Raveonettes, a Danish indie rock duo, consisting of Sune Rose Wagner on guitar, instruments and vocals, and Sharin Foo on bass, guitar and vocals. The duo is set to release a new album, Pe’ahi II, on April 25th. Along with the announcement, the Raveonettes have also announced that they will tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their second album, Pretty in Black’s. The new album seems to be a sequel to their 2014’s Pe’ahi. Brooklyn Vegan mentioned, the new album “follows the same themes of fragility of life, death, longing and, not least, vulnerability.” No songs have been released from the album yet, so stay tuned.” The tour will kick off with a European leg and begin in Denmark on May 21st, and finish off in Greece on May 31st. Following that, their first US performance will be at Aladdin Theater in Portland on September 19th. The tour will continue in WA, CA, IL, PA, NY, and DC. The last show of the tour will be in DC at Black Cat on October 3rd. The New York City show of the tour will be at Bowery Ballroom on October 1st.
