Pelican has just announced their first album in six years. Flickering Resonance is set to be released on May 16th, through Run for Cover. On February 12th, the band released their new single, “Cascading Crescent”. Pelican’s last album, Nighttime Stories, came out back in 2019. According to Pitchfork, this album is the band’s first LP to feature guitarist Laurent Schroeder -Lebec, since their 2009 album, What We all Come to Need. The tour is set to take off on July 17th in Cleveland with a show at Beachland Ballroom. While on tour, the group will be supported by Porcelain, a four piece rock band from Austin, Texas. The tour will continue to hit cities in the U.S throughout July, and eventually make its way to Europe in early August. Their last show will be in France, at the Motocultor Festival. Prior to crossing overseas, Pelican will make a visit to NYC, with a show at The Meadows in Brooklyn on July 20th. Tickets to the Sunday night show are still available through DICE, and selling for $28.28 USD.
