

English pop-rock band, The Kooks, formed in Brighton, are coming to New York this summer. The group just announced their North American leg of their All Over the World Tour, according to Rolling Stone. The band is also planning to release their new album, Never/Know on May 9th. The 16 show tour will begin in Montreal on May 27th at Mtelus and finish off in Seattle at Showbox SODO on June 21st. Loveleytheband, who collaborated with the group on the track “Jeanie” will open for the show. Luke Pritchard the lead singer and songwriter of the band mentioned, “We made some of the greatest memories as a band on our last US tour and ever since we’ve been counting the days till we can return”. Referring to the upcoming tour as magic, it is clear that the band is eager to give fans a nice warm welcome and performance for the tour. Pritchard seemed to have hands on in producing most of the upcoming album, with a few helping hands in the project. Tickets to the tour originally went on sale on Valentines day. Tickets to the New York show on June 3rd at Rooftop @ Pier 17 are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $79 USD. for General Admission.
