Yukimi, of Little Dragon, announced her debut solo album last week and has now scheduled a North American tour, in support of it. Little Dragon, the Swedish electronic band, rose to popularity almost 20 years ago, with Yukimi being a big force in the group. Her new debut album, For You, is set to release on March 28th. Along with the album, her tour is set to hit multiple cities from mid April to early May. According to SoulBounce, the album is going to consist of brand-new singles like “Break me down”, “Sad Makeup”, and “Winter is Not Dead”. Although Little Dragon’s work was a bit more upbeat and instrumental, it seems that Yukimi’s solo work is more of a blend of soul, jazz, and R&B. Her tour will kick off in New York at Irving Plaza on April 16th. From there, she’ll make her way through Washington, Cambridge, Toronto, and more. After 9 shows, Yukimi will finish off her 10th performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco on May 2nd. Tickets to the Wednesday night show are still on sale through Live Nation, and selling for as cheap as $54 USD. for General Admission Floor.
