Alison Krauss & Union Station have delighted fans with the announcement of Arcadia, their first new album in 14 years. Scheduled for release on March 28, 2025, the album reunites Krauss with longtime bandmates Jerry Douglas, Ron Block and Barry Bales, while introducing new member Russell Moore, according to Consequence.
The 10-track record is set to feature songwriting contributions from Robert Lee Castleman, JD McPherson, Sarah Siskind, Viktor Krauss and others. Self-produced by the band, Arcadia will be released through Down the Road Records, marking another collaboration between Krauss and the founders of Rounder Records, who signed her when she was just 14 years old.
Krauss described the album as a reflection on history, family and human resilience. “The stories of the past are told in this music,” she shared in a statement. “There’s bravery, valor, loyalty, and dreaming—these timeless themes told in the ways our grandparents once shared their lives.”
The album’s lead single, “Looks Like the End of the Road,” premiered today, offering a moving preview of the band’s renewed synergy. According to Krauss, this track was the spark that reignited the band’s creative focus. “Jeremy Lister wrote it, and it just felt so alive — I could already hear the guys playing it,” she said.
In support of Arcadia, Alison Krauss & Union Station will embark on a nationwide tour starting April 17, 2025, with stops in Atlanta, Memphis, Chicago, Los Angeles and more. Fans can look forward to experiencing the band’s signature bluegrass and folk sounds live for the first time in over a decade.
