The Avett Brothers, an American folk rock band from North Carolina, is coming to New York. The band is made up of two brothers, Scott Avett and Seth Avett along with Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon. Mike Marsh, Tania Elizabeth and Bonnie Avett-Rini are touring members of the band. Back in 2009, the group performed at NPR’s Tiny Desk in 2009. According to WHQR Public Media, the band was nominated for 4 Grammy Awards, including their 11th studio album, The Avett Brothers, which was released in May of 2024. The tour is scheduled to start on April 3rd at Idaho Central Arena in Boise. The group has a series of five appearances scheduled with support from Charles Wesley Godwin. The presale for the tour began on October 2nd, while the general sale to the public was on October 4th. The New York show takes place on May 2nd and 3rd at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Tickets to both shows are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $148 for a balcony ticket.
