Benjamin Lev Kweller, the former member of Radish, and the American singer, songwriter, is coming to New York this April. Kweller has six solo albums and has appeared on several different collaborations. He just recently announced the release of his upcoming album, Cover the Mirrors, which is scheduled to debut on May 30th. Kweller lost his son Dorian Zev in a freak car accident, back in 2023. This is his first album since his son’s passing and the release date is on his late son’s birthday. In a Brooklyn Vegan article, Kweller mentioned, “It’s hard not to focus on everything I’ve lost and in the depths of my sorrow I realized that something was gained. I can only describe it as an additional layer in the spectrum of understanding. My highs are higher and my lows are lower. My love is deeper and my calling is stronger. Cover The Mirrors is helping me cope with my new reality and these songs are part of that journey.” In support of the new project, Kweller will head out on a U.S tour that starts in Atlanta on April 15th. The New York show will take place on April 19th at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets to the Saturday night show are still on sale, and are selling for as cheap as $49 USD., without fees.
