Beginning in the spring of 2025, Ryan Adam will embark on the Heartbreaker 25’ World Tour, commemorating his debut album, Heartbreaker (2000). He will make a pit stop for a performance at The Chicago Theatre on Jun. 21, 2025.
Beginning in 2000, after Adams departed from his previous band, Whiskytown, he began working on solo music. He is an American rock-country singer and songwriter with twinges of indie and alt-rock music.
His first solo album, Heartbreaker, released in 2000, catapulted his career and gained him attention. He has released over 30 albums. Starting in 2021, he began releasing three or four albums a year. This past year, in 2024, he released five new albums: 1985, Heatwave, Prisoners (Live), Sword & Stone, and his most recent, BLACKHOLE, which was released on Dec. 6, 2024.
Alongside his albums, Adams has released 30 singles and two EPs. He has worked closely with many artists and produced albums for the likes of Willie Nelson, Fall Out Boy, Norah Jones, Weezer, Counting Crows, Jenny Lewis, and many more.
