In celebration of their first studio album in five years, and their tenth studio album, Snow Patrol takes on The Forest Is The Path 2025 World Tour. The band is due to stop in Chicago for a performance at the Salt Shed on Apr. 1, 2025.
Northern Irish and Scottish rock band, Snow Patrol, got their start in the music industry in 1994. The band was formed by vocalist and guitarist Gary Lightbody, the only remaining original member. The band now consists of Lightbody, guitarist Nathan Connolly, and pianoist, keyboardist, and guitarist Johnny McDaid.
When the band released their first piece of music, a single by the name of “Starfighter Pilot” (1997), they went by the name Polarbear. The next year, they changed their name to Snow Patrol and released their first studio album, Songs for Polarbears (1998).
Although their first two studio albums were commercially unsuccessful, their third and fourth album made up for it in spades. In 2004 they released Final Straw with the hit “Run”. Then, in 2006, they released Eyes Open which included the song “Chasing Cars” which, in 2019, was reported to be the “most-played song of the 21st century on UK radio”.
Snow Patrol is one of the most acclaimed 90s rock European bands with ten studio albums, 22 singles, and two EPs.
Snow Patrol will make a stop during their 2025 world tour in Chicago to perform at the Salt Shed on Apr. 1, 2025. Tickets can be purchased now at Ticketmaster.com.
