Ride, an English rock band formed in Oxford in 1988, is coming to New York in December. The band consists of vocalists and guitarists Andy Bell and Mark Gardener, drummer Laurence “Loz” Colbert and bassist Steve Queralt. The band has reunited after a 20-year break and 10 years on their second touring season. Ride most recently was on tour with The Charlatans, which took off in January of this year. The tour celebrated 30-year-old albums, while Ride played Nowhere in full, and The Charlatans played Between 11th and 12th in full. While on tour, Ride brought back the pandemonium that surrounded them, by performing a brand new song ‘Peace Sign’ during a two-song encore. While Ride spent time with The Charlatans in January of this year, they then took off on their North American tour later on in May, where they were accompanied by Knifeplay. This came not too long after the release of their seventh album, Interplay, and their announcement of new dates that they added to the tour. According to Brooklyn Vegan, the December dates in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Los Angeles, and more, will be supported by Rocket. Tickets to the Friday December 6th show at Warsaw in Brooklyn are still on sale, and selling for $46.25 USD. for a standard ticket.
