Korn kicked off their fall tour in exhilarating fashion on September 12th, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida. As reported by Loudwire, the performance was a night of nostalgic surprises for their fans. Among the highlights was the long-awaited performance of “Hey Daddy,” a deep cut from their 1999 album Issues, marking the first time the song had been played live in 25 years.

This monumental moment was only the second live performance of “Hey Daddy,” according to Setlist.fm, adding an air of exclusivity and excitement to the kickoff show. The band wasted no time in signaling that this was not just another standard Korn concert, opening with the intense track “Dead Bodies Everywhere,” which hadn’t been played since 2019.

In addition to “Hey Daddy,” fans were treated to another rarity, “Oildale (Leave Me Alone),” from the 2010 album Korn III: Remember Who You Are. This is the first time the song has made it into a setlist since 2012. Additionally, this performance also marked the first time guitarist Brian “Head” Welch played “Oildale” live, as he was not a member of the band during its initial tour of the album.

The setlist was a rollercoaster of fan favorites, opening with “Here to Stay” and featuring classics like “Blind,” “Got the Life,” and “Y’all Want a Single.” The encore brought the night to a powerful close with “Falling Away From Me” and the beloved “Freak on a Leash.”

Korn’s current Fall 2024 Northern American tour is still running, coming to a close on October 27th with a performance in St. Paul, Minnesota. The tour also features support from acclaimed acts such as Gojira and Spiritbox.
