True Norwegian black metal band Mayhem are set to commemorate their 40th anniversary with a series of exclusive performances in six cities across North America this November. One show will take place in Los Angeles, California at The Wiltern on Thursday, November 21.
Mayhem’s 40th-anniversary show promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans, featuring a setlist that spans their entire career, from their groundbreaking debut album, Deathcrush, to present day. This concert will celebrate the band’s legacy over four decades of musical evolution and boundary-pushing performances. The unique production will decimate theaters in Montreal, Quebec; Toronto, Ontario; Queens, New York; Chicago, Illinois; Los Angeles, California and Denver, Colorado from November 12 to November 23.
Mayhem formed in 1984, and are one of the most influential black metal bands of all time. Their notorious history was captured in the 2018 movie Lords of Chaos, including the infamous 1993 murder of guitarist Euronymous at the hands of former band member Varg Vikernes. Last year, Mayhem released Daemonic Rites, featuring live versions of songs from Daemon as well as older classics.
