The Hives, a Swedish rock band formed in Fagersta, gained traction in Sweden throughout the 90’s. During the garage rock revival, they rose to worldwide notoriety in the 2000’s. According to Consequence, after the band finishes up their European leg this summer, they plan on opening up for both the Foo Fighters and Green Day. Once that finishes up, the band’s tour will kick off in Quebec on September 13th. The tour comes after The Hives’ first new album in over a decade, The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons. “Recorded in the studio of ABBA’s Benny Andersson and spanning 12 tracks, the album sees the revitalization of the band’s rock ’n’ roll prowess, and features tracks like “Bogus Operandi,” which earned recognition as our Song of the Week when it debuted last year.” Tickets are still on sale and selling for as cheap as $44 USD. before fees.
