Marty Friedman at City Winery Philadelphia on February 10

Thrash metal guitarist Marty Friedman recently announced his Live Drama 2025 Tour, coming to Philadelphia at the City Winery on February 10th of 2025.

Friedman has had an extensive music career, originally appearing on the scene as a member of heavy metal band Hawaii, and releasing his debut solo work in 1988. His music gained a greater audience in the 90s when he became the guitarist for thrash metal band Megadeth, Megadeth is, of course, an iconic metal band – considered one of the “big four” of metal alongside other legends such as Metallica.

Friedman shifted towards a focus on his solo career in the early 2000s, releasing fifteen solo studio albums to date. The upcoming tour is in support of Friedman’s newest studio album Drama, which was released in May of 2024. Each of the twelve tracks on the album highlight Friedman’s extreme skill on the guitar, as well as his ear for rock music and melodies.

Friedman will be opened by two fellow guitarists, Nikki Stringfield, who released her debut solo album Apocrypha just last year, and Patrick Kennison who has worked alongside Stringfield in the past. The musical talent on this tour is unprecedented and you don’t want to miss this rocking opportunity. You can get your tickets HERE
