High on Fire is a heavy metal band from Oakland, CA. The band was formed in 1998 by frontman Matt Pike, drummer Des Kensel, and bassist George Rice. The members now consist of Matt Pike on vocals, Jeff Matz on bass, and Coady Williams on drums.
The band has had a long history. They signed with Relapse Records in 2001 and released their first album, Surrounded By Thieves, in 2002. Since then they have released 8 singles and 13 studio albums.
Their most recent album, Cometh The Storm, was released just this year in April of 2024.
