Foster the People return to the stage with a set of album release shows ahead of their upcoming album, Paradise State of Mind. One album release show is set to take place at the iconic West Hollywood venue The Roxy Theatre on Wednesday, August 14.
The alternative band is set to perform two album release shows starting on August 12 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City followed by the other on August 14 at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Both shows are in support of the band’s fourth studio album, Paradise State of Mind, out Friday, August 16 via Atlantic Records. The record will be the first full-length from Foster the People since 2017’s Sacred Hearts Club. The band has released the first three singles from the new record including “Take Me Back,” “Lost In Space,” and the most recent “Chasing Low Vibrations.”
Foster the People announced two official album listening sessions set for August 8 in Los Angeles and August 11 in New York City, details will be revealed to those who secured a spot prior to each event. Following the set of album release show’s the band is set to perform a DJ set on September 5 at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco. The band will also make appearances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.
Foster the People formed in 2009 by frontman Mark Foster. The band’s first marked their fame with the viral 2010 single “Pumped Up Kicks.” Their debut album Torches earned them three Grammy nominations. In 2014 the band released their second album, Supermodel, followed by 2017’s Sacred Hearts Club.
