Singer-songwriter Tirzah began her North American leg of the tour on Aug. 3. Her second to last stop will be in Chicago on Aug. 7 at Metro. She began her tour back in March in the UK and Australia but has finally made her way to us.
Tirzah was born in Essex and developed her musical talents back when she was in school. She played the Celtic Harp for many years and even attended a school for young musicians.
She has also been making music with friend and musician Mica Levi. Together they released a series of EPs on Greco-Roman records and then Domino records.
She released her first EP, I’m not Dancing, back in 2013. Since then she has produced seven singles and four albums. Her most recent album, trip9love…?, was released just last year in September of 2023.
She is known for her beats heavily influenced by a techno sound. Her voice is soft and buttery and accompanied by her music, gives her songs a satisfying juxtaposition.
Tirzah knows what she is and what she can do. She makes music that flows in and out of each other while staying consistent with her sound. You can see Tirzah on Aug. 7 at Metro Chicago.
