Slowdive at Franklin Music Hall on November 15

Renowned shoegaze band Slowdive is celebrating their first album release in five years with their Everything is Alive tour, traveling internationally for almost six months and performing at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia on November 15th.

Slowdive formed in 1989, and quickly became one of the most acclaimed shoegaze bands in the world. Shoegaze is characterized by the more atmospheric and experimental sounds it incorporates into alternative rock, and has had a revival in popularity in recent years, introducing Slowdive to many new fans.

Their upcoming tour is in support of the band’s 2023 release, the studio album Everything is Alive, which quickly became the band’s best performing album to date. The eight song tracklist would find its way internationally on to music charts, even being considered one of the best albums of 2023 and the single “Kisses” off of the album was considered one of the best tracks of that year. The album received high praise for staying true to their sound after so many years, while still being able to incorporate newer experimental elements.
