This album brings soul-shaking tunes.
Black metal band Wormwitch has been raising musical madness since 2015 and earlier this year the band released the split album Wormwitch and Sadistic Ritual. And now, Wormwitch has released their self-titled album, each track filled with vein-jolting instrumentation and a powerful vocal performance. Wormwitch shows how powerful black metal can be when you have the right musicians to create earth-shattering tracks.
“The Helm and the Bow” is a straight-up headbanger thanks to the fast-paced guitar and drum playing. While listening, the sounds of erratic guitar riffs and drum beats shake the background with a heavy mix of metal and punk vibes. Each guitar brings a harmonic feeling while the thunderous drum beats contribute to the lingering havoc on “The helm and the Bow.”
“Godmaegen” is another heart-stopping ditty with a sizzling guitar playing and killer vocal performance but what stands out is the mind-dazzling drum playing. While listening, every noise from each drum beat brings face-smacking vibes that blend in with the rest of the musical chaoticness that is playing on. There is a strong musical punk style on “Godmaegen” but the drum playing brings the heavier metal as well.
“Draconick Sorcerous Canadian Witchknights” ends Wormwitch on a high note, thanks to the thrilling vocal performance. Throughout the entire song, a raspy voice can be heard emerging from the background and filling the atmosphere with deep growls and shrieks that resemble the relatable and high-intensity emotions that can be felt throughout the track.
Wormwitch features black metal music that bleeds passion and creativity. Surely the band will have people head banging and singing along when performing the tune live.
