Kaytranada announced the North American tour dates for his most recent album, Timeless. The record was released on June 7, 2024, and will begin touring on Sept. 14. The tour’s second show will be held in Chicago at Huntington Bank Pavillion on Sept. 20.
Producer and DJ, Kaytranada, born Louis Kevin Celestin, started his career in the most modest of ways. On SoundCloud. He reworked and rereleased Janet Jackson’s “If” in 2013. From there, he took off running. He is known for his ability to produce music that ranges anywhere from hip-hop to house to electronic all while keeping it coherent to his overarching sound.
In the past, he has collaborated with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Alicia Keys, and Snoop Dog, to name a few. On Timeless, you can find features with Childish Gambino, Pinkpantheress, Don Toliver, Anderson. Paak and so many more.
The album is jam-packed with intentional and curated partnerships between Kay and each collaborator. That said, the album maintains integrity and continuity even though almost every song features a different artist. The songs flow in and out of each other with ease.
The tour will not only be the man himself, Kaytranada but will also include the following artists; Channel trees, Amaarae, Sam Gellaitry, Kitty Ca$h, and his brother Lou Phelps.
