Redd Kross & Dale Crover At The Lodge Room On Aug. 13

Redd Kross and Dale Crover are taking over the North America this summer with a full tour. The tour includes a stop at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, August 13.

Redd Kross and Dale Crover officially kicked off the summer tour on July 2 in San Diego, CA and are set to conclude the run on August 13 in Los Angeles, CA. The 31-date trek includes stops in cities such as Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, Houston, and more. Redd Kross are not only celebrating their self-titled double LP, their ninth full-length record, but also the 45th anniversary of Jeffrey and Steven McDonald first stepping on stage together. Joining them will be long-time friend and colleague Dale Crover who will perform a DJ set as well as a solo acoustic set.

In 1979, two school-kids all hopped-up on punk-rock started their own group in their hometown of Hawthorne, Los Angeles and soon found themselves opening shows for notorious scene pioneers Black Flag. Jeff McDonald was 15, his brother Steven only 11. But that didn’t stop their group from becoming one of the most remarkable, enduring and unique outfits punk- rock ever belched up. 2024 marks Redd Kross’s 45th birthday and the brothers are celebrating the event with a veritable multimedia extravaganza. There’s a memoir, Now You’re One Of Us, due in November, author Dan Epstein telling the group’s story in the McDonalds’ unmistakable (and occasionally contrary) voices. A brilliant rockumentary, Born Innocent, directed by Andrew Reich, will premiere later in the year. Most exciting of all, a new album – an eponymous double-album, no less, packed with 18 of their sharpest, most addictive songs yet – will hit the racks, courtesy of In The Red Records.

Dale Crover releases his third full-length solo album, Glossolalia, on September 13 via Joyful Noise Recordings. Crover is better known for his time with Nirvana and as the drummer for the Melvins, where he joins Steven and Buzz Osborne. The Melvins are also well known to perform at the Lodge Room at least once a year, only this time each member will perform separately as Osbourne will also perform at the infamous venue early August. Nevertheless, Redd Kross has stated that each night of the tour promises to be a special event.
