Chastity Shares New Single “Summer All Over Again”

Brandon Williams, better known as Chastity, has showcased a remarkable talent for capturing emotions that resonate with his listeners. Now, the singer has shared his newest single, “Summer All Over Again.”

Williams comments on the song and the meaning behind it in a recent press release. He states, “Summer used to feel yellow, now it feels blue, it’s like damn Winter 2. This song’s about that quiet melancholy, like when you’re outside on a perfect day, and you miss your cue to be happy.”

This bittersweet feeling that comes along with growing up is portrayed beautifully through Williams’ lyrics and backing track that reminds listeners of classic 90’s and 2000’s rock that is synonymous with Chastity’s usual sound. The nostalgic feeling that comes along with “Summer All Over Again” is driven even closer to home by the song’s accompanying music video, which is made up of clips of Williams and his friends when he was growing up.

Capturing these emotions into music, and allowing them to resonate with every listener, is something Williams is no stranger to. His three previous albums— 2018’s Death Lust, 2019’s Home Made Satan, and 2022’s Suffer Summer— all earned high praise for his ability to portray so many familiar emotions in such a poetic, relatable manner.

Williams was also praised for his storytelling abilities in his music videos as well. The video for “Flames,” from Home Made Satan, features a young boy watching a man engage in an affair at a dinner party where his wife is present. This same boy is also featured in the videos for “Sun Poisoning” and “The Girls I Know Don’t Think So,” suggesting a connection between all three videos and creating a story for fans to analyze further.
