Kimbra, the New Zealand music artist known for “Somebody I used to know”, is gearing up for an exciting September as she announces the release of her new Album Idols & Vices (Vol. 1) in preparation for this exciting new music she shares her single off the album “Stuff I Don’t Need” featuring american musician Banks.
The two time grammy award winner released her single on July 3rd and also announced she will be releasing a new song every week in the run up to the new album. The first taste of the album is a 90’s style R&B song. With this throwback style song Kimbra makes critiques on materialism and encourages living in the moment. Listen to the new single here.

The 90’s style R&B sound of “Stuff I Don’t Need” is paired with 90’s style anime visuals for the album created by animator Greg Sharp. The visuals follow 10 characters looking for awakening in complex environments, re-emphasizing the themes of finding truth in a digital landscape.
