deadmau5 has returned with the announcement of a collection of new songs entitled Some EP, which is set to arrive on July 19. The lead single, “Quezacotl” marks his first solo release since his 2022 track “XYZ.”
The renowned producer and DJ had previously closed out his sold out Hollywood Bowl and Brooklyn Mirage anniversary shows with live debuts of the track. In classic deadmau5 fashion, the song is deeply melodic, vibrant and dynamic, cementing his reputation as a revered artist in modern electronic music.
deadmau5 is also hitting the road this summer, performing in Canada, Spain, India, Brazil as well as the U.S. The DJ will be taking the stage with Kaskade under their highly celebrated collaborative moniker Kx5 at FVDED IN THE PARK in Surrey, British Columbia on July 6. From there, he will be playing a show in Mumbai, India at Sunburn Arena on July 12 and Mallorca, Spain at BCM Mallorca on July 22 before heading back to the U.S.
The artist will make an appearance at Gridlife Summer Apex Festival in Plymouth, Wisconsin on July 27 before reuniting with REZZ for a performance as Rezzmau5 at HARD Summer fest in Los Angeles, California on August 3. After several more North American shows, he will be visiting Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to play Rock In Rio on September 13. His live dates will culminate in a two night stand at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado on November 1 and 2.
