Soul Coughing at Franklin Music Hall on October 3rd

Alternative rock band Soul Coughing is reuniting for the first time in almost 25 years to tour the U.S. this year, coming to Franklin Music Hall (moved from Union Transfer) in Philadelphia on October 3rd.

The group formed in 1992 in New York, releasing their debut studio album, Ruby Vroom, in 1994. The album would quickly put the band on the map and draw in a dedicated fan base while many music critics considered it to be one of the best albums of the ‘90s.

Their second studio album, Irresistible Bliss, would also be met with positive reviews, and included the group’s first track to find large-scale commercial success, “Super Bon Bon.” The band’s third, and as of now final, studio album, El Oso, was released in 1998, and would find its place on the alternative rock charts following its release, as well as introduce a newer, more drum-and-bass inspired sound to the band’s discography.

The group disbanded in 2000, and until this year, there had been no sign of a reunion from the group. The band released a compilation album, or greatest hits album, titled Lust in Phaze in 2002, following the break up, but has not released anything since.

Fans and new listeners alike should be excited to have the opportunity to see the group live, and as this could be the last we see of the band together, this is a show you do not want to miss! Tickets are available HERE.
