Pop star Meghan Trainor is beginning her Timeless Tour in September, delighting her large and dedicated fan base. Trainor will be joined by viral rapper Paul Russell, most known for his hit song “Lil Boo Thang,” and comedian, influencer, and friend of Trainor’s, Chris Olsen. Trainor will be performing in 24 cities across the U.S., coming to The Mann Center in Philadelphia on September 7th.
The “All About That Bass” singer found viral success with multiple singles off of her 2015 studio album debut Title. From “Dear Future Husband” to “Lips Are Movin,” Trainor’s doo-wop inspired pop music quickly dominated the pop charts of the 2010s, with the “All About That Bass” music video being one of the most viewed music videos on youtube to date.
Her follow up release, the studio album Thank You, would find similar commercial success with catchy hits including “NO” and “Me Too,” which demonstrated a diversification of her sound beyond the first album’s 50’s-inspired sound. Two more studio album releases later, however, Trainor released Takin’ It Back in 2023, bringing back the 1950s doo-wop that fans had previously known her for, epitomized in the lead single off the album, “Mother,” which samples The Chordettes’ “Mr. Sandman.”
On the Timeless Tour, fans can expect Trainor to perform hits from her 2024 studio album release Timeless. The album blends the classic sounds of Trainor’s music with sounds of early 2000s pop music. Hits off of the album include “Been Like This” featuring rapper/singer T-Pain, and “Whoops,” which has already found viral status on TikTok.
