Gwar at Franklin Music Hall on November 8th

Metal/shock rock band Gwar are kicking off their The Stone Age tour in October and coming to the Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia on November 8th. The group will be joined by fellow metal bands Dark Funeral, Cancer Bats, and Squid Pisser for an amazing show!

Formed in 1984, Gwar released their debut studio album, Hell-O, in 1988, and would place on rock charts for the first time with their second album release, Scumdogs of the Universe, in 1990. The band has released fifteen studio albums total, the most recent album, The New Dark Ages being released in 2022.

The group originally gained notoriety because of their immersion into sci-fi themes through their appearance and performances, which quickly earned the band the shock rock label. In their live shows and music videos, the group will often perform in full SFX makeup to appear as a group of mythological creatures. This is all supported by an extensive sci-fi lore following the band’s creation and development that builds with every album/single release from the band.

During the tour, fans can expect the band to perform in usual fashion, with exciting, graphic visuals, and lots of fake blood spraying into the crowd, so make sure to wear your best white t-shirt! You can get your tickets HERE.
